Agentic systems | Automation infrastructure

Hermes agentic automation infrastructure.

A server-hosted automation layer for corporate operations: connecting systems, automating recurring reports, preparing ticket workflows, supporting IT asset management and coordinating controlled actions from a sandboxed agent runtime.

What needed to be solved.

Operational teams often depend on disconnected tools: email, spreadsheets, ticket context, inventory files, knowledge notes and recurring reports. The work becomes slow when people have to manually collect data, format outputs, create follow-ups and keep track of what changed across systems.

Design decisions and execution path.

Designed Hermes as an agentic automation layer running from a controlled server environment, with scoped tools, reusable workflows and clear approval boundaries for sensitive actions.

Connected automation paths for Microsoft 365, reports, documentation, ticket creation workflows, inventory tracking and IT asset management instead of treating each task as a separate manual process.

Used scheduled jobs and scripts to support recurring work such as monitoring, report generation, data collection and status summaries.

Kept the architecture human-in-the-loop: the system prepares, validates and executes routine work while sensitive operations remain controlled and auditable.

Operational value and proof points.

Created a reusable automation infrastructure instead of one-off scripts scattered across individual tasks.

Reduced manual reporting and follow-up work by connecting systems, data sources and output generation through one operating layer.

Improved operational control with sandboxed execution, scoped access, logs, repeatable workflows and approval gates for higher-impact actions.
